alignment based flow
This open level class balances precise instruction, alignment with breath, and fluid movement. The class is carefully themed to deepen the students' experience of yoga. A flow of Sun Salutations and postures are skillfully sequenced, and modifications are used to individualize the practice for each student. This class allows the students to work in a fluid, meditative form, building heat and linking the breath more deeply to the movement, while remaining conscious of structural clarity.
 
open yoga
The open yoga class for all levels and modified for beginners or the more advanced yogi. The class will take you through some body opening poses to prepare for a series of vinyasas followed by a slower cooling down sequence that rebalances the body. Class will focus on alignment, balance and vinyasa sequences. Ending with a mindful, and heart-opening sivasana.
 
vinyasa
Vinyasa class links breath with movement to lead practitioners into postures through a dynamic and fluid sequence. Start with sun salutes, move into standing poses, balancing poses, twists, backbends and gentle inversions. Suitable for beginners as well as advanced practitioners. Variations are provided for all levels.
 
ASHTANGA VINYASA
Ashtanga Vinyasa classes focus on strong ujjayi breathing, consistent work with bandhas – internal locks in the pelvic floor, abdomen and throat – and exploration of postures from the Ashtanga primary series. It provides a more rigorous approach to asana practice alongside the 8-limbs of yoga philosophy.
 
gentle
Practice begins gently with an emphasis on being present in your body, sustaining a flowing breath, and warming up. It allows you to choose the level of physical intensity right for your body. It recognizes that every body is different. It activates the life force of the body that yoga calls "prana". It encourages you to create a lifestyle supportive of your health by listening to your own body. It acknowledges that regular yoga practice is designed to initiate a process of personal transformation.
 
power
Power flow classes are based around Vinyasa, linking breath and movement, while increasing the speed, intensity and difficulty of sequencing and postures. Work up body heat in this rigorously paced class as you explore advanced postures.
 
kundalini
Kundalini is the term for "a spiritual energy or life force located at the base of the spine", conceptualized as a coiled-up serpent. The practice of Kundalini yoga is supposed to arouse the sleeping Kundalini Shakti from its coiled base through the 6 chakras, and penetrate the 7th chakra, or crown. This energy is said to travel along the ida (left), pingala (right) and central, or sushumna nadi - the main channels of pranic energy in the body. The practice of kriyas and meditations in Kundalini Yoga are designed to raise complete body awareness to prepare the body, nervous system, and mind to handle the energy of Kundalini rising. The majority of the physical postures focus on navel activity, activity of the spine, and selective pressurization of body points and meridians. Breath work and the application of bandhas (3 yogic locks) aid to release, direct and control the flow of Kundalini energy from the lower centers to the higher energetic centers.
 
VINYASA FLOW LEVEL 2/3
This is a flow vinyasa class for more experienced yogis that approaches the practice as a vigorous workout as well as a moving meditation. Each class will build on a new sequence with a fresh focus – emphasizing strength, balance, ease of mind and fluidity of form.
